Rafiki has a big outgoing personality, quintessentially social, he wants to be wherever you are.  He currently enjoys access to a "catio" - an enclosed cat safe porch, which helps him discharge his high energy.  He has the energy level of a "Bengal", so be prepared to offer a cat porch or lots of interactive playtime with fishing-pole want style toys!!  Because of his high energy and zest for life, he has the propensity to become easily overstimulated, so he would do well with someone who observes and responds sensitively to a cat's needs.  He would not be appropriate for a home with children.

We think Rafiki would do best as an only cat.  He has not been temperament tested with a dog, but may be able to be acclimated to a canine playtime if things are taken slowly and the dog is cat-friendly.

ForeverMeow is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cat rescue and kitten nursery, registered with the CA State Attorney General. We are also certified adoption partners of Riverside County, Palm Springs, Petco, and PetSmart, as well as a Best Friends No More Homeless Pets network partner.     

Nearly all of our cats & kittens are rescued from Coachella Valley shelters since 2013 we have rescued over 900.     

We adopt kittens when they are big/old enough to Spay or Neuter, or will foster-to-adopt prior to that. We also offer free lifetime cat behavior counseling from a Humane Society of the US certified Cat Behavior Consultant.      

Adoption fee which includes (if appropriate): Spay/Neuter, FVRCP Vaccinations, FeLV/FIV tests, deworming, microchipping, and lifelong behavioral Support as well as      a free veterinary examination:

- Kittens 8weeks-4months.     $65

- Young 5months-1year.         $45

- Adult 1year-10years.            $25

- Senior 10years+.                  $0

  our Senior Savior Program will provide free veterinary services and all medication for their life

REQUIREMENTS: Unless specifically indicated, INDOOR pets only and NO declawing, All our cats and kittens use a variety of scratching posts and other scratching devices
